WebDAV (Web-based Distributed Authoring and Versioning) is a convenient way of transferring files between
a remoted web and 4shared account using the built-in functions of the Microsoft Windows Explorer, Linux and Mac OS.
You may drag the WebFolder on your desktop from 'My Network Places', to create a Desktop Shortcut.
You can now Copy/Paste or Drag&Drop files into and out of this new directory structure.
How to set up WebFolder in Linux?
Go to Places -> Connect to Server...
Choose WebDAV (HTTP) from the Service type drop list;
Enter username and password in the next dialog window.

Josh, 32 “
It’s a really great idea, that WebDav access to 4shared is provided to Linux fans, like me.
Being a programmer, I’m quite more accustomed to Linux, rather than Windows and Mac OS, so
now I use my created WebFolder to upload and download files to my 4shared account.”

Though I use the custom ways to transfer files between my laptop and 4shared account, the
provided option of accessing 4shared with WebDav client is quite beneficial as well. Now
4shared users have got a choice, in which way to work with 4shared, and the possibility to
choose, which, actually, makes every service better.”
